This page is centered on the Channel Islands and the Santa Barbara Channel. We hope it will be useful for those who travel to the Channel Islands and/or live in the area.

Each of the following notes refer to items which can be found on the left side of this screen. Use the scroll bars to view items farther down the page.

01/20/10:
Added several new links and fixed some broken ones:

Added "NWS Google Earth" link. This is an amazing way to download weather related files directly into Google Earth (you must have Google Earth installed to view these files). This link is located about half way down on the left side navigation (after the rainfall totals).

Also added a lighting strikes map.

01/01/10:
Added the Farallon Islands camera, even though these are outside of the "Channel." Be sure to check out the "360 Panorama"

09/20/07:
Updated many of the links that had changed (particularly the Intellicast links). These links change with no warning! Please let us know if you notice any other changes.

06/07/07:
Updated the link to the "San Nicolas" weather station in the "Island Weather Stations" section. The link had changed, and the page now includes info on the San Miguel weather station (plus other navy sites). Thanks to Sarah Chaney for calling my attention to it.

02/08/07:
Added a link to "Various southern California Beaches" in the Weather Cameras section. This link (and others) provided by David Begun.

11/24/06:
Added the "NOAA El Nino Page." This page provides information on the El Niño Phenomenon, as well as forecast text and maps on upcoming changes to our climate.

09/12/06:
Added "Composite" Reflectivity link to the radar section.

Added "Other Astro Data" link to the Tides/Moon section. This is an interesting site, which includes sun rise/set/transit/twilight and eclipse data, plus equinoxes, solstices and much more!

Added a "San Nicolas Is." link in the weather stations section. This is a U.S. Navy site that includes several location including "SNI" and perhaps other island locations (although these do not show up at the moment).

Added the "Sea Temp" section.

08/27/06:
Added links to new cameras in the "Weather Cameras" section on Catalina courtesy of the LA County Coastal Monitoring Network.
